Thing 2 completed her first 10K at this year's She.is.Beautiful! And, she was amazing. Maybe around Mile 3, she told me she had a blister and a side stitch, but she carried on in really good spirits. She was a champ! Around mile 4.5, I could tell she was flagging...and she still made comments on her blisters, but I was sooo super impressed by her attitude. We talked about how challenging a 10K is -- even for grown-ups (!) -- and when we crossed the finish line, we'd knock that challenge down! And, the next time she is faced with a challenge where she feels like she is tired and cannot make it, she can remember this event and know that she can make it to the end! I'm such a proud mama.
